These statistics include the numbers of accidents, fatal accidents and fatalities in accidents in general and recreational aviation. The statistics are published as both absolute figures and relative to flight hours. The data are updated once a year. The information is produced by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom.

Aviation safety in Finland is of a high international standard. According to common European policies, the aim is at continuous reduction in aviation accidents and fatalities caused by them – regardless of growth in traffic volume or external security threats.
