The statistics on aviation training authorisations and approvals include the numbers of currently valid training authorisations and approved training organisations. The data are updated once a year. The information is produced by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom.

Aviation training is strictly regulated. Traficom supervises the aviation training organisations by issuing authorisations for training different professional groups: pilots, cabin crew, maintenance and air traffic safety electronics personnel as well as security screeners. When issuing authorisations, Traficom strives to ensure that the training provided is appropriate and safe and that it meets the set minimum requirements.
