Flight hour statistics

The flight hour statistics include hours flown by type of operation and aircraft. The data are updated once a year. The information is produced by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom.

Each owner or user of an aircraft entered in the Transport Register of Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) must submit an annual statistical report on previous year's flight hours for each aircraft. Traficom’s flight hours statistics are based on the data in these reports. Annual variations in the response rate may have an impact on the statistics. The figures of the flight hours statistics can be considered indicative.

DESCRIPTIONEvery aircraft owner or user registered in the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency’s (Traficom) Transport Register or its appendices must report annually the aircraft-specific flight hours of their aircraft for the previous year. Traficom’s flight hour statistics are based on this information.
DATA CONTENTThe flight hour statistics include hours flown in the statistical year. The flight hour statistics are compiled by operation type (commercial, general and recreational aviation) and aircraft type (aeroplanes, helicopters, lighter-than-air aircraft, sailplanes and motor gliders, and ultralight aeroplanes).
