Open data

Open data is information in digital format that can be freely used by anyone for any purpose, as long as the original source of the data is mentioned. This page collects open data published by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom.

Frequency allocation table 
(OData v4)		Data on frequencies allocated for different radiocommunication services (frequency band, application, technical details and other criteria). The material is up to date and it will be updated as relevant regulations are amended once or twice a year.  PDF version of the Frequency Allocation Table is available as an annex to the Radio Frequency Regulation.
Maritime mobile service identities (OData v4)Data on identities used in the maritime mobile service (MMSI, ship name, ship call sign). The data is updated daily. In addition to the interface, the data is available in a table (search function) and you can download data as a text file by clicking the button below the table.
Amateur radio call signs (OData v4)Data on call signs currently in use (call sign, validity). The data is updated daily. In addition to the interface, the data is available in a table (search function) and you can download data as a text file by clicking the button below the table.

Radio stations in Finland (OData v4)		Data on radio stations in Finland: name, location, technical details, licence details. The data is updated daily. Domain name registerReal-time data on registered fi-domain names with holder information (legal persons only). The data is also available via the OData interface. For instructions contact fi-domain-tech(at)traficom.fi.
Advanced WHOIS domain name searchMaatunnusten (ccTLD) ja vanhojen geneeristen verkkotunnusten (gTLD) saatavuustilanne sekä julkiset käyttäjätiedot. Palvelusta ei saa uusien geneeristen verkkotunnusten (new gTLD) tietoja.

 

International carrier access codes (OData v4)Data on international carrier access codes (code, operator and assignment date). In addition to the interface, the data is available in a table on Traficom's website.
Long-distance carrier access codes (OData v4)Data on long-distance carrier access codes (code, operator and assignment date). Note! There are no granted long-distance carrier access codes.
Subscriber number ranges for fixed telephone network (OData v4)Data on subscriber numbers for fixed telephone network (area, number, operator and assignment date). In addition to the interface, the data is available in a table (search function) on Traficom's website.
Mobile area codes (OData v4)Data on mobile area codes (code, operator and assignment date). In addition to the interface, the data is available in a table on Traficom's website.
Assigned and available SMS numbersData on assigned and available SMS numbers (number, operator and assignment date). In addition to the interface, the data is available in a table (search function) on Traficom's website.

Information about broadband network quality measurements conducted using the application and browser version of the Bittimittari.fi service. The dataset includes only those measurements where speed measurements and latency measurement have been successful. The current calendar month is updated once per day. Regional information, such as a municipality number (kuntanumero), is updated with a few days' delay. Monthly data is available for the previous 3 years. Old datasets are not updated retroactively, for example, due to municipal mergers.

Bittimittari.fi service's open data

Open data for vehicles contains registration, approval and technical information for all vehicles in use from the register maintained by Traficom.

Open data for vessels covers details from all ships registered in Finland on ship registration and tonnage certificates information from the Register of Ships maintained by Traficom.

The register EVR (European vehicle register) hosted and maintained by the European Railway Agency (ERA) has replaced the national register of railways rolling stock. Traficom works as a registration authority for ERA.

The EVR contains registration information.
Technical data of railways rolling stock can be found in ERATV - European Register of Authorised Types of Vehicles. The register is open for everyone.

Avointa dataa raskaan liikenteen luisto-, kitka- ja jarrutustiedoista
Grip-tutkimushankkeen mittaustulokset -aineisto sisältää marraskuun 2015 ja helmikuun 2016 välillä kerättyä kitkamittausdataa erilaisista kitkamittareista, mm. luisto-, kitka- ja jarrutustietoja sekä tietoa ajoneuvon nopeudesta, vallinneesta kelistä ja matkan pituudesta.

Data on kerätty Trafin, Liikenneviraston ja Helsingin kaupungin rakennusviraston yhteisesti rahoittamassa tutkimushankkeessa ja sen tuottamiseen ovat osallistuneet VTT, Innomikko, West Coast Roadmasters ja E3 Innovation. Hankkeen loppuraportti on julkaistu Liikenneviraston julkaisusarjassa (https://ava.vaylapilvi.fi/ava/Julkaisut/OL/liikenneviraston_julkaisut_2010-2018_web.pdf).

Veneilytutkimuksen puhelinhaastattelutulokset
Liikenteen turvallisuusvirasto Trafi teetti kattavan tutkimuksen veneilyn nykytilasta Suomessa, jonka tulokset on koottu Trafin tutkimusraporttiin 4/2017. Veneilytutkimus sisälsi laajan
viranomaisilta, sidosryhmiltä ja veneilijöiltä kerätyn aineiston käsittelyn, tulkinnan sekä raportoinnin.
Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli laatia raportti veneilyn nykytilasta Suomessa. Raportti sisältää arviot veneiden määrästä sekä veneilyn turvallisuus-, ympäristö- ja taloudellisista vaikutuksista.

Veneilytutkimuksen puhelinhaastattelutulokset -aineisto sisältää 9/2016 - 10/2016 välillä tehtyjen puhelinhaastatteluiden tulokset.
